Growing a business while working part-time at another job is very difficult, especially when you are doing it by yourself (except for my daughter who keeps my books - thanks, Sweetie!). Although I am on the early retirement path at Purdue, I still work there 32 hours each week. I am at the studio the rest of the time, often as much as 50+ hours in a week (really, my husband thinks he's a bachelor). But, you know how it is when you are passionate about something. It's more fun than work.
So, sometimes the things I plan to do are a little ambitious for the time I have available. Some of my loyal customers (Thank you!) may remember me saying a long time ago that I was going to start mailing my marketing pieces by e-mail. But so far, that hasn't happened, mainly because it takes time to plan these things. But also, when I started this business almost 4 years ago, I wasn't thinking about e-mail marketing and so, until recently, I didn't collect e-mail addresses from my customers and prospective customers. E-mail marketing is the techy way (translation - cool way) to do things these days and it's economical (no postage or postcards to buy), not to mention timesaving (no envelopes to address, stamps to stick). Oh, I could go on and on...
So, I would like to ask my customers, and those of you who might someday want to be a customer, to send me an e-mail message requesting to be added to the e-mail mailing list - not just any ordinary mailing list, the 'Life as ArT' mailing list. I promise not to flood your Inbox with one thing after another. I certainly don't want to annoy anyone. I'm hoping you will appreciate the specials and promotions I will tell you about in those messages. Oh, even if I knew how I won't sell your information to anyone else - it's safe with me.
