Well, again it is late and I am still at the studio. Time sure flies when I’m here (and having fun). But, I’m sure my husband thinks I’ve forgotten where I live. Mondays at the studio are usually my marathon work days. So much to do – backups, return calls, process some images, print labels for a post card mailing, schedule some sessions, shoot a senior boy’s session (James - very nice intelligent young man – some GQ images, I’m sure!), and create an ad for the next issue of Helen Magazine. I must tell you about this wonderful magazine.
Helen Magazine (www.helenmagazine.com) was created by Sharon Martin and Susan Woodson in May of 2006. It is a magazine for local women and has gained quite a following. Sharon and Susan are two of the most interesting, positive, creative women I know and I count myself lucky to be affiliated with them and the magazine. Back in 2006, I visited Susan and Sharon at their office and asked if they needed another photographer (one of the best moves I have ever made!). Not long after, I began working on assignments. For each issue, I shoot some sessions for Helen and create an ad for my photography business (K. Weatherwax Photography - www.kweatherwaxphoto.com, in case you missed it <shameless plug>). Sometimes, I even shoot the cover photo. Woo Hoo! I have met so many interesting people in and around Lafayette because of Helen Magazine.
Well, I’m closing up the studio to go find a late supper. Tomorrow is another day. So many images, so little time…
